AUDIOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Allow for about 1 hour for your audiological assessment appointment. The assessment includes :

1.

A short interview with our trained staff
2. A visual examination of the ear canal and eardrum
3. Hearing acuity test for tones
4. Speech perception test
5. Assessment of middle ear function

From these results, our audiologist will be able to determine the following:

1.

Degree of hearing loss, if any
2. Nature of the hearing loss
3. Whether the condition is medically treatable or not
4. A recommendation of the most suitable solution

Our audiologists are fully qualified to make referrals to your physician for any suspected medical conditions. Where consent is provided, a comprehensive report of the assessment findings is provided to your family physician.

We are also able to provide hearing tests for pre-employment and medical clearance needs at short notice.
