Tinnitus Evaluation

A complete audiological and tinnitus assessment will be administered.

The tests include an audiogram and several specific tests which will allow us to evaluate whether you have tinnitus and/or hyperacusis, and to what degree. The tests begin with low levels of sound and gradually get louder; therefore, none of the tests will be painful. If the tinnitus is not present on the day of the testing, it will NOT influence the possibility of success with the treatment.

As necessary, medically treatable or malignant conditions associated with tinnitus will be referred to an otolaryngologist to obtain medical clearance prior to proceeding with TRT.

After a thorough and comprehensive assessment, we will be able to determine your suitability as a TRT candidate, TRT as it would apply to you, and a discussion of possible outcomes you may enjoy. We operate with the highest level of integrity and if there should be any reason that you may not benefit from TRT, you can be assured that you will be informed of this.

Arriving via Public Transit – Golf Cart Shuttle

Upon closure of the elevator access, Oakridge will be providing golf cart shuttle for patients that are not physically able to take stairs up/down to the Medical Dental offices between 9am and 5pm.

For those arriving prior to 9am, signage will be posted so they can contact Security for assistance

Important reminder: the golf cart cannot accommodate mobility aids such as motorized wheelchairs. In these cases, please let us know so we can make alternative arrangements for you.

Access in/out remains the same; please continue to enter from Cambie Street
